Job Summary:

KP Snacks is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our Ashby site. As a key member of our Engineering function, you will provide a comprehensive electrical, mechanical, and maintenance engineering service to safely sustain and improve production operating efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain production and ancillary equipment, property, and facilities to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with production process and plan requirements.
  • Create and maintain accurate maintenance records, including data entry and completion of tasks within specified timescales.
  • Act as host for contractors working on site, ensuring all necessary documentation is available and completed, and safe working practices are agreed prior to commencement of work.
  • Respond to requests from production and Maintenance Leads for engineering assistance, monitoring visual management boards to ensure priority items are addressed.
  • Work with production teams to improve their capability and knowledge of equipment.
  • Ability to quickly identify problems, perform root cause analysis to prevent repeat failures.
  • Follow policies and procedures in conjunction with the food quality management system and retailer-specific technical standards.
  • Play an active part in food safety and health and safety, identifying hazards and risks, and ensuring all health and safety procedures and safe working practices are followed.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience gained within a food manufacturing environment.
  • City & Guilds Level 3 or higher in electrical engineering, ideally multi-skilled.
  • Excellent communication skills combined with logical problem-solving skills.
  • Enthusiasm, commitment, and the drive to succeed.
