Main Responsibilities
  • Operate can manufacturing equipment to achieve plant KPI targets
  • Maintain equipment in a condition that quality standards are maintained and downtime is minimized
  • Carry out quality checks and take corrective actions
  • Maximize production and minimize spoilage during the manufacturing process
  • Perform safe repairs to equipment and set up checks
  • Report potential problems to the Shift Manager or relevant Department Heads
  • Maintain housekeeping to an exemplary standard and in a safe condition throughout the plant
  • Comply with legal environmental and safety requirements and/or checks
Requirements
  • 5 GCSE's or equivalent including Maths and English
  • Recognised Time Served Apprenticeship
  • ONC / HNC Qualification or equivalent
  • English written and verbal
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Apprenticeship in a Manufacturing Mechanical Engineering discipline
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety work practises
  • Experience of preventative and planned maintenance on production equipment
  • Ability to work precisely with strong attention to detail
  • A team player with strong problem solving and analytical skills
