About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Plastic Surgery Trauma Practitioner to join our esteemed team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with plastic surgery trauma injuries.

Your Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with a wide range of plastic surgery trauma needs, including hand injuries, skin loss, bites, and amputations.
  • Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based practice guidelines within the plastic surgery trauma service.
  • Provide education and support to junior staff, patients, and their families regarding plastic surgery trauma management.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge in this specialized field.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in plastic surgery nursing or a related field.
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications

  • Plastic surgery qualification or certification.
  • Trauma competencies and experience.
  • Fluency in Welsh is highly desirable.
