Job Description

**Job Title:** Occupational Health Specialist

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Health Specialist to join our team at Liberty Speciality Steels. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational health services to our employees and external contractors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out health assessments and surveillance to identify and mitigate potential health risks in the workplace.
  • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on health and safety matters, including training and education.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a comprehensive approach to health and safety.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external healthcare providers and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Registered General Nurse (on the NMC register)
  • Recognised OH Nursing qualification (Dip/Cert)
  • NEBOSH certificate
  • Leadership qualification
  • Qualification in administration
  • Experience working in an occupational health setting or GP practice
  • Excellent administration, time management, planning, and organisation skills
  • Excellent communication skills with good command of written English language
  • Knowledge of IT programs, i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Ability to drive and use your own car for business purposes
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be employed by Liberty Speciality Steels to work 21.75 hours a week over a three-day period. The role will involve working at our sites in South Yorkshire, with occasional travel to other locations.

The postholder may be required to perform other occupational health associated duties assigned by the Head of Service/Senior Nurse.
