Role Overview

The Lead Pharmacy Technician for Medication Safety is responsible for achieving results within set timelines by collaborating with key stakeholders across the healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resource Development: Create and maintain essential resources on the SPS website, ensuring that all information is accurate and reflects current policies and practices while adhering to governance standards and meeting website performance metrics.
  • Workstream Contributions: Actively participate in the outputs of the MUS workstreams, including networking events, to enhance collaboration.
  • Integration of Resources: Facilitate the unification and distribution of SPS outputs nationwide to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Data Management: Demonstrate proficiency in data capture, analysis, and communication, managing substantial information continuously through various applications including internet tools, word processing, presentations, databases, and spreadsheets.
  • Reporting: Present findings and data collected or supported by the MUS Team at national conferences and meetings.
  • Engagement: Collaborate with practitioners and subject matter experts to gather insights through regional networks.
  • Policy Awareness: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of health policy developments that influence MUS outputs, informing business planning and service needs assessments.
  • Additional Duties: Undertake other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Medicines Use and Safety.
