Shipping Lawyer Associate

Our specialist Marine team assists these clients and their insurers and reinsurers in relation to arbitration, general average, ship arrest, cargo claims, fine art and specie, jurisdictional disputes, maritime casualties, charterparty disputes, commodity disputes, marine insurance, misappropriation, sale of goods, shipbuilding, and third-party liability claims for personal injury and property damage.
To be considered for this role, you will have strong academics, intellectual rigour, and strong technical and research skills. You will have trained at a rated City or regional firm, most likely one with a good reputation for Marine work. You will have most likely between 1 and 5 years' post-qualification experience in Shipping law. You will have the ability to adopt a proactive approach and take initiative. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills, and proven ability to manage a busy, complex case load.
Common law-qualified Lawyers with relevant experience would be very welcome. The firm is able and willing to sponsor if required.
