Job Title: Domestic Cleaner - National Standard of Cleanliness

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Domestic Cleaner to join our team at NHS Jobs. As a Domestic Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout our facilities, adhering to our Trust's infection control cleaning policy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all areas are cleaned to the national standard of cleanliness using provided equipment.
  • Perform tasks such as hovering, buffing, scrubbing, mopping, high and low level dusting, and cleaning windows.
  • Take down and hang curtains on windows and bed cubicles, ensuring they are bagged correctly for laundering.
  • Deep clean to Trust infection control cleaning policy.
  • Liaise with nursing and departmental staff to ensure information is shared to promote a clean environment.
  • Inform Supervisors/line manager of equipment failures/faults.
  • Responsible for cleaning domestic equipment used within the location and ensure secured safely after use.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to policies and procedures.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting.
