Job Summary

ECI is seeking a highly skilled Storage and Virtualization Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining our clients' storage and virtualization infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain storage and virtualization solutions for new and existing clients
  • Deploy and update automation systems and scripts for storage and virtualization workflows
  • Monitor and optimize storage and virtualization performance, recommending enhancements as needed
  • Collaborate with clients and service teams to review findings and recommendations, and coordinate remediation work
  • Contribute to knowledge base of support issues and resolutions
Requirements
  • BA/BS degree in computer science, business, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field
  • Advanced knowledge of and comprehensive experience in deploying and managing enterprise storage solutions, including NetApp ONTAP, EMC VNX, and VMware vSphere
  • Thorough understanding of networking and distributed computing concepts, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS, Routing, Switching, and Firewalls
  • Experience implementing and supporting Cisco-based Ethernet networks with Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches
  • Thorough understanding of Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft SQL server
  • Financial industry experience, including familiarity with market vendor applications
  • Experience with Linux or Solaris, and scripting knowledge with PowerShell
Preferred Qualifications
  • Thorough understanding of NetApp products and architectures, including ONTAP, SnapCentre, SnapMirror, and OnCmd
  • Thorough understanding of VMware products and architectures, including vSphere and ESXi
  • Thorough understanding of Nimble and EMC storage
  • In-depth knowledge of general storage technologies, including iSCSI, FC, FCoE, CIFS/SMB, and NFS
