Job Title: Weapon System Design Engineer

Job Summary:

MBDA is seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design and commissioning of cutting-edge missile and weapon systems. As a member of our team, you will work with a range of platform providers to integrate our weapons and ensure that our front-line users have the tools, products, and information they need to face ever-increasing and ever-changing threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop hardware and software for missile and weapon systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate systems and ensure seamless operation
  • Contribute to the development of system analysis and simulation tools
  • Work with AI techniques to design algorithms for mission planning and command and control
  • Apply human factors and ergonomics principles to ensure user-centered design

Requirements:

  • Strong background in engineering, preferably in the defence industry
  • Experience with hardware and software design, development, and testing
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Security clearance: British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship
