Senior Ecologist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Ecologist to lead our team of dedicated ecologists in delivering expert ecological advice and managing complex projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and experienced ecologist to drive conservation and development goals forward.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of ecologists in conducting habitat and protected species surveys
  • Manage large-scale ecological projects, including surveys and mitigation strategies
  • Provide expert advice on UK and European ecological legislation
  • Develop and deliver high-quality reports, including PEA, EIA, and BNG reports
  • Hold one or more Protected Species Licences and maintain proficiency with QGIS and other ecological software
Requirements:
  • Degree in Ecology or a related field
  • Extensive experience in conducting habitat and protected species surveys
  • Proven leadership and project management experience
  • Strong knowledge of UK and European ecological legislation
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Membership of CIEEM
