Generator Technician Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Generator Technician to join our team at Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD. This role is essential in ensuring the optimal performance of our generator systems through comprehensive maintenance and repair services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct both workshop and field-based maintenance tasks.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical diagnostics to identify faults.
  • Execute repairs and servicing of generator units and related equipment.
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues reported by clients.
  • Service equipment on-site and off-site as required.
  • Work independently to troubleshoot and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Complete necessary documentation and timesheets promptly.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Adhere to safety protocols during repairs and inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards and procedures.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Take responsibility for personal and team health and safety in accordance with company policies.

Position Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working with generators.
  • Proficient knowledge of engines, alternators, control panels, and wiring schematics.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team or independently.
  • Valid Driving License.
  • Capability to service a variety of plant machinery.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Salary: £37,440 - £38,480
  • Working Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Overtime: Available
  • Holiday Package: 22 Days Holiday + 8 Bank Holidays
  • Additional Benefits: Company van, mobile device, uniform, and laptop provided.
  • Death in Service benefit: 3 times annual salary.
