Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled EHS Manager to lead and enhance our environmental, health, and safety programs, ensuring compliance and promoting a culture of safety. As a key member of our team at Apex Recruitment Services, you will be responsible for driving safety initiatives, building relationships, and managing comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Coaching and Guidance: Offer expert advice and coaching on safety best practices to leaders and team members at all levels of the organization.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure the division meets corporate and regulatory compliance objectives, maintaining a strong focus on safety and environmental responsibility.
  • Design and Facilitate Safety Initiatives: Develop and implement safety initiatives, programs, and procedures that promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness.
  • Provide Guidance and Raise Awareness: Offer guidance and raise awareness of EHS in other functions, promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the organization.
  • Actively Promote Safety Culture: Foster a culture of safety and environmental awareness, encouraging open communication and a proactive approach to safety and environmental issues.
  • Lead and Develop the Safety Team: Lead and develop the safety team, providing guidance and support to ensure the team is equipped to manage and implement safety and environmental programs effectively.

Expected Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

Education:

  • University degree in a relevant field, such as engineering.
  • EHS certification, such as NEBOSH or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Strong practical knowledge of regulatory safety and environmental compliance.
  • Significant EHS Manager/management experience in an industrial work environment.

Skills:

  • Proven track record of driving cultural change in complex organizations.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Business acumen.

Travel: Willingness to travel for business, approximately 25% of the time.
