Accounts Manager Job Description

ProTalent is currently working with a successful, modern, and fast-growing Top-50 accountancy practice in Newbury to recruit a new Accounts Manager.

The Accounts Manager role:

  • Requires experience in managing a portfolio of clients.
  • Would benefit from a working knowledge of CCH.
  • Demands the ability to work under pressure and cope flexibly with demanding deadlines.
  • Requires well-developed client liaison skills.
  • Needs someone who shows initiative, exercises judgment, and takes ownership of issues from start to finish.
  • Requires a good knowledge of taxes, including income tax, corporation tax, VAT, and inheritance tax.
  • Requires experience working with international clients.

The successful Accounts Manager candidate:

  • Should be an ambitious, qualified accountant looking to further their career.
  • Must be ACA or ACCA qualified.
  • Should have a minimum of 8+ years of experience within an accountancy practice.
  • Should have experience working with a variety of software.
