Strategic Bid Manager

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Bid Manager to join our team at Unipart Rail. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the end-to-end bid process, ensuring that our proposals meet the highest standards of quality and excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and develop high-quality proposals to meet business targets for growth and profitability.
- Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver strategic bids to our customer base.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including sales, account management, and product teams.
- Coach and mentor teams on the effective use of the bid process to ensure compliance and quality.
- Utilize analytical skills and judgment to draw conclusions and make recommendations.
- Experience in managing bids/proposals and projects, with a proven track record of delivering to exacting requirements and deadlines.
- Excellent bid writing skills and the ability to work on the basis of self-initiative.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence key internal stakeholders.
- Line management experience and the ability to manage multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Mathematics and English to GCSE standard or equivalent, and a formal professional qualification such as APMP or Project Management.
