About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Director to lead our research programs and drive innovation within our organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive research strategy that aligns with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research Program Leadership: Develop and implement research programs that propel our company into the future, leveraging funding opportunities and collaborating with executive and senior management to ensure a targeted and forward-thinking approach.
  • Team Management: Guide, nurture, and inspire a team of highly skilled R&D engineers and specialists, committed to creating industry-leading optoelectronic devices.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Establish, cultivate, and sustain external relationships and alliances with essential stakeholders, including executives, marketing teams, investors, and academic collaborators involved in research projects.
  • Expertise and Qualifications: Possess expert knowledge of III-V semiconductor device physics, characterisation, and process, as well as optoelectronic industry knowledge and vision. Demonstrate strong managerial skills, leadership expertise within a research setting, and a history of securing and executing successful optoelectronic research initiatives.
  • Education: Hold a Master's degree in a relevant discipline, such as Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or Electronic Engineering.
