About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Developer to join our Digital, Data, and Technology (DDaT) team. As a key member of our Strategy and Transformation team, you will play a crucial role in driving forward data-driven policing initiatives and transforming our digital landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of developers in hands-on development or software engineering roles, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Identify and exploit new technology opportunities across the force, enhancing system functionality and efficiency.
  • Design, build, test, and implement solutions in a continuous and iterative development cycle.
  • Integrate core platforms such as Niche RMS, SharePoint, and M365 to drive data-driven policing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand current and future requirements, ensuring the force's technology marketplace is aligned with its needs.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Familiarity with technologies such as Niche RMS, SharePoint, and M365.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in line management responsibilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for new software solutions or interfaces.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
