Job Description

Environmental and Sustainability Officer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental and Sustainability Officer to join our team at BMR Solutions Ltd. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and developing our Environmental Management System (EMS) and ensuring compliance with all relevant legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement environmental sustainability improvements across the organization
  • Manage and maintain the ISO 14001 management system
  • Ensure safety in all activities and maintain a safe working environment
  • Liaise with external contractors, agencies, and local authorities to achieve environmental goals
  • Plan and organize internal environmental audits
  • Provide training and education on environmental and sustainability practices to all departments and EHS representatives
  • Manage the day-to-day duties of the EHS representatives
  • Support Net Zero working groups to achieve the company's GHG reduction targets
  • Report annually on sustainability performance
  • Operate the company's global EHS portal

Requirements

  • Hold an Environmental and/or Sustainability qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Environmental Certificate)
  • Experience in calculating Scope 1, 2, and 3 carbon emission data and initiating carbon reduction actions
  • Experience in a production/manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work with internal teams and external contractors, companies, and agencies
  • Proficiency in MS Office and experience presenting reports and results to the management team
