About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Analyst to join our team at Yankee Candle. As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a critical role in analyzing and optimizing our transportation costs, improving our supply chain efficiency, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation Cost Analysis: Analyze and evaluate monthly transportation costs to identify areas for cost savings and propose initiatives to improve carrier efficiency.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce lead times, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Utilize MS Excel and Power BI to develop and improve reports, providing insights to stakeholders on transportation costs, KPIs, and service level metrics.
  • Cost Savings Initiatives: Identify and implement cost-saving projects, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve profitability.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the finance team to accurately report transportation costs, and collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Requirements
  • Proven Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a distribution or transportation environment, with a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office applications, including advanced Excel, and experience with Power BI or similar analytics tools.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as logistics, supply chain management, or business administration.
