Senior Ecologist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Ecologist to join our team at The Landscape Partnership. As a Senior Ecologist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality ecological services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and lead ecological projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Conduct ecological surveys and assessments, including Preliminary Ecological Appraisal, EcIA, and Protected Species Survey.
  • Develop and implement ecological mitigation strategies, including licensing and negotiation with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present ecological reports and assessments to clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines, such as Landscape Architecture and Arboriculture, to deliver integrated project solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
Requirements:
  • First or second-class degree in a relevant discipline, such as ecology, biology, or environmental science.
  • Full membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM).
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in ecological consulting, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex ecological data and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to project delivery.
