Data Analyst

Cumberland Council is seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join its team. As a key member of the Performance and Insight Team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the council's data governance, data management structures, and processes are in place to support evidence-based decision making.
You will be responsible for developing and improving opportunities to develop research skills and experience for staff, enabling the production of management information and research data and analysis that are quality, compliant, and enable performance assessment and improvement planning.
Key duties include developing and managing a data analytics system, assisting with the identification and implementation of interoperable system solutions, and developing and maintaining recording and reporting mechanisms using appropriate software.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage a data analytics system that is compliant with local and national statutory data reporting requirements.
- Assist with the identification and implementation of interoperable system solutions that enable integrated working within a single agency and multi-agency context.
- Develop and maintain recording and reporting mechanisms using appropriate software to provide accurate and timely management information.
- Participate in directorate programmes and projects as directed by the Performance and Insight Manager, supporting analytical and statistical work and preparing reports and presentations for audiences at all levels.
- Provide analysis of key data sets related to the HDRC Research Priorities and research projects.
- Support the collation and analysis of council, regional, and other data to support evidence-based decision making and future research funding applications.
