Job Role:

As a Combustion Engineer at Gov Facility Services Ltd, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heating systems, as well as ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair heating systems, including boilers, pumps, and controls
  • Ensure compliance with Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
  • Ensure compliance with Gas safe (installation and use) regulations 1998 and associated industry Standards
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on commercial catering gas appliances
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth operation of facilities
Requirements:
  • 2 years experience working in a role as a heating engineer, a combustion engineer or equivalent
  • Familiarity with and ability to work to Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
  • Familiarity with and ability to work to Gas safe (installation and use) regulations 1998 and associated industry Standards
  • Experience of working with commercial catering gas appliances
  • Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating) and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
  • CCN1 - Core domestic gas safety and relevant domestic appliance units
  • COCN1 - Core commercial gas safety certificate and relevant commercial units
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge
  • Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
