Job Summary:

Jobit is seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead our engineering consultancy efforts in the renewable energy sector. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing detailed designs for offshore equipment, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Development: Develop detailed designs for offshore equipment, including wind and tidal installations, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  2. Engineering Consultancy: Lead engineering consultancy activities, ensuring projects meet deadlines and budget constraints.
  3. Design Verification and Validation: Perform rigorous analysis and documentation to verify and validate designs.
  4. Engineering Design Process: Oversee the engineering design process, ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
  5. Technical Support: Provide technical support to workshop, procurement, and operational teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  6. Commercial Activities: Contribute to commercial activities by assisting in the creation of concept designs and providing input for tenders.

Requirements:

  1. Experience: At least 10 years of post-graduation experience in a relevant engineering industry.
  2. Background: Strong background in producing design risk assessments and FMECA documentation.
  3. Skills: Skilled in structural analysis tools such as SolidWorks Simulation, PDM, ANSYS, and/or STAAD.
  4. Chartered Engineer Status: Chartered Engineer status with a recognized engineering body.
  5. Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
