**Hours:** 35 hours per week

**Salary:** £24,222 per annum

Job Summary

21 HSC is seeking a highly skilled Breaks Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the application process and leading an assessment panel to ensure funds are distributed as widely and fairly as possible.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop the Carers Gateway Short Break programme, including oversight of Shared Care Scotland and other funding.
  • Raise the profile of short breaks, particularly within hard-to-reach groups of carers, and expand the understanding of what is considered a short break.
  • Oversee the digital application process and assist carers with their application as required.
  • Lead the assessment panel, plan meeting dates, and ensure all panel members have access to information prior to meeting.
  • Ensure funds are dispersed to carers in as quickly as possible, while ensuring all internal processes are followed.
  • Manage the Short Breaks budget, ensuring carers return receipts so that an accurate audit trail is maintained.
  • Work with the Admin & Evaluation Officer to collate data from the short breaks programme to support future planning, as well as monitoring and reporting.
Requirements
  • Essential to be educated to standard grade General Level or equivalent in a minimum of four subjects, one of which should be English.
  • Experience in overseeing a large project is essential.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously is essential.
  • Experience of managing a budget is desirable.
  • Driving Licence is desirable.
