Job Title: Apprentice Commercial Quantity Surveyor

Are you a skilled Quantity Surveyor looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Commercial Quantity Surveyor to join our team at a leading Civil Engineering Contractor.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage large-scale civils packages on the HS2 project. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing project finances, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, and providing strategic commercial advice to the project team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the commercial management of large-scale civils packages on HS2
  • Manage all aspects of project finances, including budgeting, cost control, and forecasting
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and manage subcontractor accounts
  • Provide strategic commercial advice to the project team
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and the project team to ensure smooth project delivery
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Managing Quantity Surveyor in the civils or infrastructure sector
  • Strong knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts
  • Experience working on large, complex projects (HS2 experience is advantageous)
  • Excellent commercial and contractual acumen
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines effectively
