Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Practitioner to join our team at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our histopathology laboratory, you will play a vital role in supporting our registered Biomedical Scientists in providing a high-quality diagnostic service to our patients.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with laboratory procedures, including embedding and microtomy, and will have the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will work closely with our team to ensure the smooth operation of the laboratory and will be expected to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate who has a strong background in laboratory sciences and has experience working in a histopathology or similar pathology environment. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and will be able to work effectively as part of a team. A high level of manual dexterity and attention to detail are essential for this role.
