We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pastry Sous Chef to join our team at Compass Group UK. As a Pastry Sous Chef, you will play a key role in maintaining the high standards of quality and presentation in our pastry department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in a team to produce high-end and high-quality food
  • Develop and support team members to achieve their full potential
  • Support in the creation of exciting menu concepts that meet the needs of our customers
  • Adhere to health and safety and food hygiene standards at all times
  • Deputise for the Head Chef in their absence
  • Cater for staff daily, ensuring that they have access to a range of healthy and nutritious food options
Requirements
  • Great customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues
  • Knowledge of the hospitality industry, with a strong understanding of food preparation and cooking techniques
  • Ideal NVQ level 1 or 2 in food preparation and cooking or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a chef, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality food
  • Hold a basic food hygiene certificate
  • A team player, with the ability to work effectively in a pressurised environment
  • Self-motivated, with a 'can-do' approach to problem-solving
  • Knowledge of health and safety guidelines, with a strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
