We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our Environment Group's Flood & Coastal Risk Management team as a Diversity and Inclusion Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the activities of the Exe Estuary Partnership and the Devon Maritime Forum, representing the Council on strategic coastal and marine groups and partnerships, and building relationships with stakeholders.

The postholder will lead forums and educational events, establish new funding opportunities, and provide expert advice on habitat regulations. They will also be responsible for:

  • Managing the activities of the Exe Estuary Partnership and the Devon Maritime Forum
  • Representing the Council on strategic coastal and marine groups and partnerships
  • Building relationships with stakeholders
  • Leading forums and educational events
  • Establishing new funding opportunities
  • Providing expert advice on habitat regulations

The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will also have a strong understanding of the marine and coastal environment and be able to provide expert advice on habitat regulations.

The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks effectively. The successful candidate will also have a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion and be able to promote these values within the organization.
