Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time

As a key player in our Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks division, you will oversee the execution of civil construction tasks for a new substation project. Your primary focus will be to uphold Health and Safety standards while ensuring that project specifications are met with precision.

Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Site Agent, you will:

  • Ensure adherence to Health and Safety protocols, conducting regular inspections, documenting observations, and addressing incidents as they arise.
  • Prepare and evaluate Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for all site operations, ensuring compliance and conducting necessary briefings.
  • Oversee subcontractors and direct labor in a multi-disciplinary environment, managing procurement processes and facilitating weekly progress discussions.
  • Guarantee that all mandatory inspections are performed, fulfilling responsibilities as the Temporary Works Coordinator and Appointed Person for lifting operations.
  • Develop and uphold quality assurance plans, implementing Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), maintaining records, and contributing to client reporting and progress assessments.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate for the Site Agent position will possess:

  • A comprehensive understanding of NEC3 Contracts, including Early Warning Notices and Compensation Events, with proven experience in managing civil engineering contracts.
  • Relevant certifications such as CSCS/EUSR, SMSTS, CITB Temporary Works, CSCS Appointed Person, and IOSH/NEBOSH.
  • Strong communication and leadership capabilities, with the ability to monitor project timelines and financial metrics effectively.
  • A proactive approach to challenging existing standards to enhance quality and value.
