We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant Gastroenterologist to join our team at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our gastroenterology services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage patients independently in a gastroenterology clinic, conducting a mixture of new and follow-up appointments.
  • Perform independent endoscopy lists, including diagnostic procedures and therapy as required.
  • Supervise junior doctors in the out-patient clinic and provide in-patient reviews and lists as needed.
  • Travel between hospital sites during the working week to provide services at Watford, Hemel Hempstead, and St Albans City Hospital.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate JAG accreditation in upper and lower GI endoscopy and have experience of managing patients independently in clinic.
