Position Overview:
We are seeking a Resource Manager to become a vital part of our team at Kier Group.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Resource Manager, you will be reporting directly to the Construction Manager and will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective execution of projects through the management of both direct and subcontracted labor.

Your daily responsibilities will include:
  • Overseeing and coordinating site labor teams and subcontractors to meet current and future project demands, ensuring timely project delivery through effective workforce planning.
  • Proactively identifying and addressing any resource shortfalls or gaps in alignment with the delivery plan.
  • Managing compliance related to labor, ensuring that tools and equipment are maintained, inspected, and serviced in accordance with applicable legislation and company policies.
  • Facilitating the smooth operation of the works depot, scheduling material and plant deliveries, and conducting site visits for toolbox talks, team briefings, and meetings.
  • Participating in project meetings and reviews, collaborating with the scheduler and project planning team, and stepping in for the Construction Manager as needed.

Candidate Profile:
This Resource Manager role is ideal for individuals who possess:
  • Proven experience in managing and leading operational resources within a water construction setting.
  • A track record of fostering personal professional development and mentoring others.
  • Relevant qualifications such as SMSTS NEBOSH or equivalent.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly with MS Office applications including SharePoint.
  • First aid certification for emergency situations.
  • A valid driving license.
