Network Architect

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Architect to join our team at Datasource. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and SD network solutions that meet the needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement network solutions that meet the requirements of our clients
- Ensure that networks comply with relevant standards and regulations, including JSP604
- Provide advice and guidance to Fixed Networks Product Owners on MSP service transition and implementation of new services
- Engage with Asset Manager to ensure that all obsolescence plans and programmes are technically coherent
- Act as a point of escalation and cascade messages, standards, and best practices from other architecture teams and design authorities to the network architecture team
- Undertake stakeholder management and communicate network concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Requirements:
- Experience as a Network Architect within a Defence environment
- Design experience of computing, storage, networking, physical infrastructure, software, COTS, and open source packages and solutions
- Understanding of how network services integrate with existing or new services, including cloud services and infrastructure
What We Offer:
Part-time opportunities and flexible working arrangements are available to suit individual needs. Please note that the client has determined that the off-payroll working rules will apply to this assignment, and therefore this contract will be run through an Umbrella Company. Income tax and primary national insurance contributions will be deducted at source from any payments made to the intermediary.
