Job Title: Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at NEC Software Solutions. As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in delivering our software solutions into live operational service for our customers across the UK, Ireland, Europe, and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build, commission, and upgrade NEC Software Solutions' bespoke Communication and CAD products into customer environments.
  • Fault find our product suite at both hardware and software levels.
  • Develop and maintain NEC Engineering documentation, including work plans, work instructions, and technical guides.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate activities and gather information required to complete tasks.
  • Work on customer sites as demand requires, with extensive travel expected, including overnight stays.
  • Provide technical and non-technical support to customers, requiring a professional and adaptable approach to communication and interaction.
  • Work independently and as part of a team, with increasing autonomy achieved over time.
  • Adhere to NEC Software Solutions' processes and procedures.
  • Meet deadlines and report any difficulties in achieving delivery milestones.
  • Maintain a professional approach and attitude to all work undertaken.
  • Promote a clean working environment and adhere to Health and Safety practices, rules, and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Ideal education to HND/HNC level or relevant industry experience in a comparable role.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Active Directory/Domain Architecture.
  • Proven experience in administering and working with Microsoft Windows 11, Windows Server up to 2022.
  • Proven experience in deploying Microsoft Windows and Server Operating Systems.
  • Proven experience in deploying Microsoft Windows Updates (WSUS).
  • Working knowledge of MySQL/MSSQL.
  • Proven knowledge and experience of virtualization environments (Hyper-V or VMware).
  • MS Business Applications experience, including Excel, Visio, and Word.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proven experience working to ITIL best practices.
