We are seeking a skilled Multi-Disciplinary Engineer with an Electrical Focus to join our team during the night shift. This role is essential for maintaining the operational efficiency of our manufacturing processes.
Work Schedule:
Continental Nights (4 Nights On, 4 Nights Off)
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure optimal performance of production lines through diligent adherence to preventive maintenance schedules.
- Promptly address and rectify any machinery faults to minimize downtime.
- Provide hands-on training to production team members, enhancing their skills in machine operation and changeover procedures.
- Continuously improve machinery performance by accurately documenting and analyzing downtime causes, implementing engineering solutions as necessary.
- Facilitate effective shift transitions by collaborating with fellow technicians.
- Guarantee the safe operation of all machinery, reporting any failures to the Engineering Shift Manager.
- Work closely with the engineering department to maximize production machinery efficiency.
- Adopt a proactive approach in a dynamic environment, supporting initiatives aimed at enhancing line performance and overall efficiency.
- Engage in ongoing personal and team development to fulfill the primary objectives of the role.
- Maintain high standards of product and personal safety in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Demonstrate the ability to accurately diagnose and resolve both mechanical and electrical issues on fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) equipment.
- Uphold strict hygiene standards and ensure the safe operation of factory equipment.
- Utilize IT skills to enhance manufacturing performance.
- Possess a recognized apprenticeship or equivalent training in engineering disciplines.
- Hold relevant qualifications in both Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
- Bring several years of experience within the FMCG sector.
- Exhibit a proven ability to work collaboratively and foster team development in a continuous improvement setting.
- Implement good manufacturing practices and modern techniques to enhance operational performance.
