About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Warehouse Engineer to join our team at bet365. As a key member of our data team, you will be responsible for implementing changes and improvements within our ETL and Data Warehouse products.

Your primary focus will be on developing ETL routines using Ab Initio to meet business requirements and data warehouse designs. You will also be involved in the development of processes and standards for our Ab Initio ETL products, as well as managing our Biq Query Cloud database platform.

As a Data Warehouse Engineer, you will contribute to the ongoing evolution of departmental standards and ensure adherence to our development process. You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining relevant documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop ETL routines using Ab Initio to satisfy business requirements and data warehouse designs.
  • Be involved in the development of processes and standards for Ab Initio ETL products.
  • Manage the Biq Query Cloud database platform.
  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of departmental standards and enforce adherence to the development process.
  • Create and maintain relevant documentation.
Requirements
  • Commercial Ab Initio experience.
  • Experience of relational set-based processing through complex SQL queries.
  • Commercial experience working in ETL and Data Warehouse platforms.
  • Knowledge of Data Warehouse dimensional modelling.
  • Ability to work as part of a team of highly technical developers.
  • Ability to work in a continually changing, reactive environment.
  • Committed, flexible, can-do attitude towards work.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills.
