Phlebotomy Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our team at Weston Park Outpatients. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care by collecting blood samples for laboratory testing.
About the Role:
- Undertake phlebotomy on patients within the cancer network using clinical skills such as venepuncture.
- Be aware of any nursing care that the patient is receiving.
- Take the blood correctly so it can be used for testing.

Location:
The base for the service is Weston Park Hospital, Sheffield, S10 2SJ. However, the post holder may also be required to undertake duties at other sites within the South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Cancer Network.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience of working in a healthcare setting as a Phlebotomist.
- Level 2 QCF Diploma in Clinical Healthcare Support or equivalent.
- GCSE A*- D (4-9) in English Language or equivalent.
Disclosure and Barring Service Check:
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
Salary:
£23,615 per annum / pro rata for part-time staff.
