Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and upkeep of our central bases and assumptions. Identify and analyze pertinent data, including unconventional data attributes and experience analyses of the existing portfolio. Conduct investigations into factors influencing biometric and behavioral risks managed by Hannover Re. Assess the implications of emerging risks concerning central bases and devise and implement strategies to mitigate these risks. Facilitate the execution of our Branch Data Strategy, enhancing data accessibility and usage, optimizing data management, and identifying enhancements to data analytics techniques. Act as a catalyst for change by identifying opportunities to integrate new methodologies, processes, and tools into Branch operations. Collaborate with and support Business Development by evaluating the impact of risk definitions and coverage, providing actionable recommendations. Prepare and deliver market and client presentations on research findings. Maintain and update core CI pricing sheets to ensure trends and issues are recognized and addressed. Maintain an extensive understanding of the industry, focusing on its implications for Hannover Re and its clients. Share this knowledge across the organization as necessary. Ensure adherence to departmental risk and control processes; maintain accurate, up-to-date, and accessible documentation of work and outputs; comply with all local and Group Guidelines. Support various departmental activities, including peer reviews of work produced by colleagues as needed.About You:
Required Qualifications:
Nearly or newly qualified Actuary or statistician with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a related role.Relevant Experience:
Experience within the (Re)Insurance sector. Proficiency in actuarial and data analysis techniques for evaluating biometric data. Experience in establishing demographic assumptions.Essential Skills:
Strong understanding of actuarial, statistical, and data science techniques, particularly in relation to interpreting biometric insurance risks. A keen interest in exploring innovative methodologies. Familiarity with R or other statistical analysis and data visualization tools/languages. Ability to articulate complex concepts and data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences. Working knowledge of UK long-term protection insurance products and markets.Personal Attributes:
