We're seeking a highly skilled and ambitious Chef to join our team at Chartwells, the leading provider of catering and support services to the education sector. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food that delights our clients and customers.
About the Role
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to meet the needs of our clients and customers
- Oversee and implement menu changes to ensure a diverse and appealing range of options
- Identify opportunities to improve our food services and implement changes to enhance the customer experience
- Listen and act on customer feedback to consistently improve our food services
- Support the creation of new menus and creative food concepts to drive business growth
- Represent Chartwells and maintain a positive brand image
- Monitor inventories to ensure our kitchens are well-stocked and maintain high standards of hygiene
Requirements
- Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent
- Have experience supervising a team and managing kitchen operations
- Have experience in a similar Chef role, preferably in the education sector
- Hold a Food Hygiene certificate and maintain high standards of hygiene
- Be passionate about great-tasting food and exceptional customer service
- Have a flexible approach to working and be able to adapt to changing circumstances
