People Policy Development Lead

We are partnering with a local authority in Lancashire to assist with the appointment of a People Policy Lead on a three-month contract, which may be extended at the client's discretion. Please submit your CV for consideration.

Compensation: Hourly Rate

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development lifecycle of people policies from concept to implementation, ensuring effective communication and engagement with recognized trade unions.
  • Collaborate with People Services teams to integrate people policy initiatives seamlessly.
  • Develop strategies to embed and sustain people policies throughout the organization, fostering a culture of understanding, compliance, and engagement.
  • Establish strong partnerships with senior leaders to ensure people policies align with and support the organization's strategic priorities.
  • Engage stakeholders to facilitate comprehensive people policy reviews and development, focusing on impactful outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • MCIPD level qualification or equivalent through relevant training and/or work experience.
  • Project management qualifications.
  • A proven track record of leading people policy reviews and development programs with successful outcomes, preferably in a large, complex, and diverse organization.
  • Experience as a people professional in a large and complex organization.

  • You should be available to start work immediately or at short notice.
  • You should have the right to work in the UK.
  • This role requires a basic DBS check.
