Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Minor Injuries Practitioner to join our team at University Hospital Wishaw. As a MINTS Major / Minor Injury Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing patient care needs, developing and implementing care programs, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess presenting conditions and initiate investigations
  • Determine differential diagnosis and initiate treatment
  • Review treatment plans developed by less experienced staff
  • Supervise and develop junior staff in the absence of the Team Leader for MINTS
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registered Nurse with current revalidation and NMC Registration
  • Graduate Certificate in Urgent Care or Equivalent
  • MINTS Major / Minor Injury practitioner or Emergency Nurse Practitioner qualification
  • Postgraduate expertise within the speciality/area of practice
  • Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality/area of Minor injuries
