Job Title: Floating Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Floating Support Worker to join our dynamic mental health team in Bradford. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing personalized support to individuals with mental health issues, enabling them to live independently and achieve their goals.

About the Role:

As a Floating Support Worker, you will engage with service users in their own homes or other settings, offering practical and emotional support in accordance with their individual support plans. Your role will be varied, and you may be required to assist with tasks such as completing housing benefit forms, accompanying service users to appointments, or helping them to set up bank accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personalized support to individuals with mental health issues, enabling them to live independently and achieve their goals.
  • Engage with service users in their own homes or other settings, offering practical and emotional support.
  • Assist with tasks such as completing housing benefit forms, accompanying service users to appointments, or helping them to set up bank accounts.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to support.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, as required.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with service users.
  • Experience of working in the care and support sector, although not essential.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Valid driving license and access to a vehicle (desirable).
