About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate Software Engineer to join our team at Discover Film LLC. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining reliable software systems at scale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop full stack solutions that meet our business needs
  • Partner with enterprise-wide teams to deliver high-quality software systems
  • Contribute to agile ceremonies, lead demos and presentations, and participate in technology communities
  • Support production systems and understand how observed events and failures impact the product
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Internal applicants only: technical proficiency rating of advanced beginner on the Dreyfus engineering scale
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience building Java-based applications
  • Time spent working for an organization in financial services, specifically payment services
  • Experience as part of an Agile engineering or development team
  • Experience working with a relational database
  • Proven skills in high availability and scalability design, as well as performance monitoring
  • Experience with relational databases such as Oracle or MariaDB
  • Experience in working in a cloud environment such as AWS
  • Understanding of software testing principles and methodologies
