Activity and Wellbeing Lead

Hourly Rate: £11.50 per hour

Weekly Hours: 40, including some weekends and evenings

Your primary responsibility will be to design and implement engaging, individualized activities for all residents. Additionally, you will mentor and support our staff in fostering engagement and activities with residents, ensuring that each day is filled with enriching experiences. We believe that it is everyone's duty to assist our residents in living fulfilling lives and enjoying their time with us. You will play a crucial role in enhancing residents' dignity and self-worth through meaningful interactions, positive relationships, and the encouragement of personal expression.

Your Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading and executing high-quality, meaningful activities for all residents
  • Ensuring that individuals living with dementia have equal opportunities for engagement and activities
  • Encouraging excellent communication and interaction between staff and residents
  • Enhancing mealtimes as a highlight of the day
  • Building and maintaining strong community connections

To equip you with the confidence and skills necessary for delivering high-quality activities and engagement, you will receive personalized support, guidance, and investment in your professional development.

Ideal candidates will possess a positive, forward-thinking mindset, the ability to inspire and lead others, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in a care home setting is beneficial, as is any prior experience in providing activities or leading teams. Assertiveness combined with flexibility is essential.
