About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrically biased background to join our team at Nicholas Associates Group Limited.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure that plant and facilities are maintained to a high standard, adhering to strict health and safety guidelines.
  2. Optimize plant downtime to meet targets, minimizing disruptions to production.
  3. Maintain a safe and clean working environment, promoting a culture of excellence.
  4. Manage and improve plant and facilities, ensuring all works comply with SHE guidelines and industry standards.
  5. Oversee engineering stores, including stock and inventory levels, to ensure seamless operations.
  6. Demonstrate continuous improvement, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing effective solutions.
  7. Report and record all works using CMM systems, providing accurate and timely updates.
  8. Build and maintain strong working relationships with customer departments within the business, fostering a collaborative environment.
  9. Assist with engineering solutions and cost-effective repairs, leveraging expertise to drive business success.
  10. Support the production and maintenance team to ensure that the plant exceeds its targets for performance, quality, and safety.

Requirements:

  1. Time served apprenticeship, preferably multi-skilled, with a strong foundation in electrical maintenance.
  2. Qualified NVQ level 3 minimum, with a focus on electrical engineering.
  3. Previous experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success.
  4. Good SHE awareness, with a strong commitment to health and safety.
  5. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, with a solid understanding of electrical codes and standards.
  6. Good fault-finding skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
  7. Experience with TPM and PPM systems, with a focus on maintenance optimization.
  8. Good IT skills, with proficiency in software applications and systems.
  9. Able to work as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
