**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Engineer - Lift Maintenance Specialist to join our team at the Schindler Group. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our lift equipment, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a high level of technical expertise.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on lift equipment, including minor repairs and replacement of components, in accordance with approved company procedures.
  • Rectify and reduce faults on lift equipment in cases of breakdown, and check to confirm correct functioning.
  • Carry out thorough inspections of lift installations, including checks on speed, motor start/stop, weight, noise, temperature, and power supply, using approved company issued tooling and protective equipment.
  • Perform fault finding and diagnostic procedures using a range of techniques, technical manuals, and appropriate test equipment, restoring equipment to service.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including service log cards and PDA.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and management to ensure effective communication and coordination of maintenance activities.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments, technologies, and best practices in lift maintenance.

**Requirements:**

  • Proven experience in lift servicing, maintenance, and repairs, preferably with a focus on commercial or industrial settings.
  • Qualified to NVQ level 3 minimum in lift maintenance or equivalent.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to work varied shifts and respond to emergency situations.
  • Full UK driving license required.
