Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Risk Management Specialist to join our gas construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing project risk profiles, and will be accountable for the development of the risk strategy and methodology.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop project risk profiles to ensure accurate and comprehensive risk assessments
- Develop and implement risk strategies and methodologies to mitigate potential risks
- Work with project teams to establish project scope and identify gaps in available information
- Challenge available detail and obtain relevant missing information to develop assumptions and track progress
- Manage governance reviews and sign-offs to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Undertake risk workshops for gas projects and update processes and procedures for risk
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
Requirements
- Proven experience in risk management, ideally in the utilities industry
- Ability to interpret technical and cost information
- Previous experience in running workshops and facilitating risk assessments
- Understanding of engineering terms and concepts
- Sound analytical and technical data skills
- Construction experience and knowledge
- Full UK car driving licence
