We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Site Manager to join our Substation Build Team in Hertfordshire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising construction activities from commencement to final completion, acting as the principal contactor for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Day-to-day management of site operatives, subcontractors, and site work
- Development and implementation of Safety documentation, including Health and Safety Plans, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments
- Identify training requirements for site personnel and mentor junior staff
- Procurement of materials using computer-based systems
- Notify line manager of possible variations and keep suitable contemporary records
- Fulfill the role of Temporary Works Supervisor where required
- Ensure full compliance with all Morrison procedures and current legislation
- Client liaison, including arranging progress meetings, pre-start meetings, and client audits
- Identify and resolve design issues raised on site
- Planning and programming of current and future works on site
- Subcontractor monitoring and auditing
- Deliver complex High Voltage projects across multiple sites
- Compilation of documents and As Built records for handover files
- Qualified to HNC/ Degree Level in Construction, Civil Engineering, or an Electrical discipline or equivalent
- CITB Site Managers Safety Training Scheme
- UK Power Networks Sub Station Entry
- Temporary Works Supervisor
- A background in construction and the electricity industry
- Competency to work in Substations up to 132kV
- Knowledge of NEC contracts
- Knowledge of current legislation relating to Health, Safety, and Environment
- Cost/Value reporting exposure
- IT literate, specifically in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Full driving license
- 25 days' annual leave plus 8 days' bank holiday
