Private Rented Accommodation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Private Rented Accommodation Officer. As a key member of our Housing Service, you will play a vital role in delivering excellent advice and support services to homeless people approaching the council for housing assistance.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the development, delivery, and promotion of all aspects of the Housing Service related to Private Sector Accommodation.
- Prevent homelessness and help meet housing need by assisting customers to access suitable, affordable privately rented accommodation.
- Support customers to sustain their privately rented tenancies.
- Ensure effective working relationships with partners to facilitate this work.
- Customer-focused and dedicated to providing an excellent service.
- Previous experience of working in a similar role in a housing or customer service environment.
- Team player with good I.T. skills.
- Able to initiate creative solutions for service improvements.
- Prioritise a varied workload and deal with difficult situations in a calm and caring manner.
- Good level of numeracy and literacy skills.
- Detailed knowledge of housing-related legislation.
- Excellent computer skills and good working knowledge of computer systems.
