Job OverviewPosition Summary
The ideal candidate will be tasked with the reception and accommodation of cattle and sheep, adhering to the highest standards of animal welfare practices.
Key Responsibilities
Role Duties
  • Facilitating the unloading and movement of livestock to holding areas prior to processing;
  • Documenting ear tag information and assigning identification numbers;
  • Verifying transport documentation and conducting relevant audits;
  • Ensuring accurate entry of permits and data into the management system;
  • Assisting in the execution of the daily sanitation protocols in the lairage;
  • Upholding Health, Safety, and Hygiene Standards in line with organizational policies.

Candidate Requirements
Qualifications
  • Must possess GCSE qualifications in Maths and English (or equivalent);
  • Demonstrated experience in handling cattle and sheep is required;
  • Familiarity with animal welfare regulations is essential;
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team;
  • Proficient IT skills are necessary.
