Social Work Apprenticeship and Development Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Work Apprenticeship and Development Coordinator to join our team at Wiltshire Council. As a key member of our Adult Social Care team, you will play a crucial role in developing and coordinating our Social Work Apprenticeship program.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Coordinate the recruitment and onboarding process for Social Work Apprentices, ensuring they receive top-quality education and support throughout their training.
- Oversee the placement process, making decisions to match apprentices with appropriate opportunities and addressing any issues that arise.
- Collaborate with higher education institutions to maintain high educational standards and represent Wiltshire Council in relevant meetings.
- Support the Social Work Apprenticeship and Development Lead in developing and building strong relationships with higher education institutions.
- Represent Wiltshire Council and Adult Social Care in meetings with higher education institutions, regional, and national groups.
- Develop and coordinate the Social Work Apprenticeship program within Adult Social Care, ensuring observations, assessments, and support are taking place in a timely manner.
- Provide administrative support to the process of Social Work Apprenticeships, collating and providing accurate records to track progress.
- Support the Social Work Apprenticeship and Development Lead in producing and analyzing reports, collating and storing data.
- Qualified social worker, registered with Social Work England.
- Relevant professional experience post-qualification in a similar work environment.
- Expert knowledge of relevant policy, systems, work practices, professional guidelines, legislation in the area of specialism.
- Excellent ICT skills, including use of Microsoft applications and specialist systems.
- Proven ability to provide advice and make recommendations based on specialist knowledge of specific area.
- Highlight and resolve potential risks.
- Knowledge and experience of contributing to the development of policies, procedures, and practices.
- Familiar with wider sector/external influences.
- Detailed operational knowledge of systems in terms of functionality, capability, and availability.
- Excellent interpersonal, persuasion, influencing, and negotiating skills.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, with proven ability to prioritize and coordinate workloads, monitor, and evaluate work, to ensure deadlines are achieved.
- Proven ability to interpret and analyze statistical and numerical data, drawing conclusions from the data to make informed decisions.
- Proven ability to cope with conflicting and changing demands through good time management and the ability to work under pressure.
- Experience of coordinating projects with service/organization impact.
- Proven ability to produce business-focused, user-friendly reports, policy, and project documents where appropriate.
