Job Title: Qualified Arborist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Qualified Arborist to join our team in Waltham Abbey. As a key member of our arboriculture team, you will be responsible for providing expert tree care services to our clients in the London and South East regions.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in arboriculture, with a focus on tree pruning, dismantling, and felling. You will be responsible for climbing arboricultural duties, including branch removal, aerial rescue, and tree felling. You will also be required to operate a range of machinery, including power tools and light plant, and drive company vehicles as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Climbing arboricultural duties, including tree pruning, dismantling, and felling
  • Off-ground arboricultural skills, including branch removal with power saws and hand tools
  • On-ground arboricultural skills, including tree felling with power saws and hand tools
  • Assist colleagues in their work, including complex breakdown of a tree's crown and dismantling of the stem
  • Undertake basic arboriculture operations with appropriate regard for third-party property
  • Operate a range of machinery, including power tools and light plant
  • Drive company vehicles as required
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in arboriculture, with a focus on tree pruning, dismantling, and felling. You will also need to have a high level of initiative and forward-thinking attitude, as well as a flexible approach to duties. You will be required to demonstrate a sound understanding of the arboricultural business and be able to produce certificates of competence in relevant subjects.
